The Erie Canal Boat Seneca Chief will arrive in Lyons on October 1st, 2025!

The Buffalo Maritime Center has built a traditional, full-sized replica of the Erie Canal Boat Seneca Chief, which originally traversed the Erie Canal upon its opening in 1825.

Watch and visit as the Erie Canal Boat Seneca Chief arrives in Lyons while on its Bicentennial Voyage from Buffalo to the New York Harbor, commemorating Governor Dewitt Clinton’s inaugural journey.
